Nina Gordon
Nina Gordon is an accomplished entertainer with a repertoire that includes folk songs, popular standards, country songs, “oldies” and ethnic favorites. Nina has delighted audiences of all ages, from infants to centenarians, in venues throughout the tri-state area since 1965. She performs regularly as a solo artist and in a duo as The Nina Gordon Party, as well as with her country-western band, Savannah Sky, her retro-rock band, Rear View Mirror, and with fellow baby-boomer Joanne J-Bird Phillips as The Bionic Babes duo, covering a wide variety of folk-rock and pop classics from the 1960s & 1970s mixed with selections from the Great American songbook, calypso and other ethnic styles. Nina's group, the aptly named The Nina Gordon Party, will be performing a free show this Friday at 7:30pm in Douglaston Station Plaza as the opening act during the first night of the Douglaston Local Development Corporation's (DLDC) Plaza Movie Series.
